Poppy PDF

Poppy was inspired by antique herbarium books of pressed flowers. The thread choices are muted to reflect the dried flowers that can often be found pressed and saved inside the pages of these book. One of the things I love most about herbarium books are the handwritten labels that often accompany the pressings. In tying to replicate that look, there are images of vintage labels at the bottom of this page. Simply cut one and layer it on top of, or beside your stitching when finishing your piece - just as they did when saving flower pressings.
