A forest of trees was stitched on this gorgeous sampler dating back to 1802 when it was stitched by 12 year old Margaret Davies. The edges of the fabric show age and signs of previously being mounted on a frame. The linen is extremely high count and has darken- particularly in the upper left corner over the past 200+ years.
